The aim of this initial consultation is to get to know you and conduct a thorough nutrition assessment. This includes an assessment of your lifestyle, diet, medical history and medications. Linda will then provide education and work with you to develop individual goals and strategies.

Making changes to the way you eat can be tricky. During follow-up consultations Linda will monitor your progress and provide ongoing education and support.

What is telehealth?

Linda uses Halaxy Telehealth to provide secure online video consultations. Telehealth is a convenient way of accessing health services online via video or telephone. Telehealth enables you to receive services in the comfort of your own home. This is particularly important if you are confined to your home, unwell or unable to travel.

Is it secure?

All telehealth appointments held via Halaxy are secure and encrypted, so you can be reassured your data is managed safely and responsibly

What do I need to do?

There is no need to sign up to Halaxy or to download anything. You will join your consultation with Linda on your computer, tablet or phone using the telehealth link provided via email and/or SMS. Alternatively, you may request a phone consultation.

Parking

Parking is currently difficult around the hospital so please allow sufficient time. The carpark behind the National Capital Private Hospital is presently closed due to construction work. Limited street parking is available on Gilmore Crescent. There is a multi-story carpark at the southern end of the Canberra Hospital campus, and an open-air carpark on Yamba Drive opposite the main hospital. Time restrictions are clearly marked.

There is a taxi stand outside the main entrance to the Canberra Hospital on Hospital Road.

An Action bus stop is located across the road from the main entrance to the Canberra Hospital, also on Hospital Road.
